Free Christmas Cards at Shutterfly

So this last year I have been using Shutterfly for everything. Let me show you what I have done with this great company.
I wanted a one of a kind invitation, so I used them for invitations for Camree's Baptism.

When I was looking for Camree's invites, I browsed through all of the adorable invites. I really liked the birthday invitations. They had so many cute invites, it made me want to have a party just to order some cards. Check them out here.

One of my favorite invites, is this one.

I made this one for Ansley's Birth Announcement.

For Camree's Baptism, I made a book for her with pages from the last 8 years of her life. I think it turned out adorable.

So with all the success I have had in the last year, I thought I must go to shutterfly.com and check out their christmas cards here.
I found so many that I loved. These are a few of my favorites.

And of course, I LOVED this one...
I am so excited to pick out my christmas cards at shutterfly.com
So if you would like to try them out and get some free card, go check them out here.

St Patrick's Day

Credits: Shabby Princess and Kenzi Dawn Designs

Camree was in the St. Patrick's Day Parade (one of the many festivals our small town has) this year with her Girl Scouts. She was so excited to be a part of it. James and Kyra loved every minute. Kyra would lure the people in with her rather loud but sweet "Hello" and James would take all the loot, including the beads. They both had a great time. To top the day off we went and visited "The Lion" Some sweet lady in our town paints this lion different for every holiday. The kids love driving by it and seeing what "the lion dressed up as." We have our complaints of this small town, but we truly love it and it is home to us.

Run For the Cookies!!!

Camree and I decided to enter into the race "Run For the Cookies" For all of you wondering, no I am not a runner. Just to let you know how much I am not runner and that I didn't listen in school, I had to call a friend to find out which was shorter the mile run or the 5K. After consulting with her I definately decided to run the mile and really glad we did. I had pumped Camree up all week about this race, only with words of course, no running. So that morning we get there, very early to register. Everyone else was ready to run in there tight pants and shirts. When we registered the lady told us to hook our number to our running gear. We laughed as we pinned it to our parkas. (It was bitter cold, well for Florida standards) So we get ready for the race right at the front, I think this was the only time we were at the front of the pack. The horn goes, and we take off running. We sprint for a few yards and the excitement has wore off for Camree, I don't think we were even a quarter of the way there, and she is screaming "take me back, I hate running." I kept pushing her telling her the only way to get back is to finish. We we did finish, and much quicker than I thought. We had 30 minutes to complete the race, and I was scared we wouldn't be able to finish in time. We kept going and by the end I was ready to start screaming too, but we did finish and made it in 13 minutes and 30 seconds. Not too bad considering she was running and screaming the whole time, and I hadn't ran since high school. It was a really good experience and made "us", or maybe just me, feel good because it was for a good cause. She was just happy at all the stuff they gave her when she finished. The next day when I had horrible shin splints, I felt bad for making fun of the 10 year olds stretching out before the race! Here we come next year, well maybe.

Camree B-day

So I decided to write a post each Sunday, that way I could catch up on all the main events I have missed, so we'll see how it goes. The next big event that I could never leave out is Camree's Birthday. This was the first year we did not have a big "friend" party. We talked her into having a "family" birthday party, and inviting one of her best friends from last year, Gracie.

Her b-day is so hard because it is always a week or two after school starts. So she wanted a "My Little Pony" party (Cameron surprised me with a "my little pony" for my birthday a couple years ago, because he let the girls pick it out. Ever since then she has wanted one)

So since we were not letting her have a big ole party, the least I could do is get her a "my little pony" cake for school. She loves when I come to visit her at school, especially when I bring sweets. She was also so proud to wear her birthday outfit that I stayed up until like 1 am making because I didn't start it until like 10pm the night before. I was so grateful that she absolutely loved it. It made up for my lack of sleep.

At school, she had to show off for me, and I couldn't resist a few pictures. It just reminded me of my carefree days of playing and hanging upside down on the monkey bars.

Her main present this year was a Leapster, or as she calls it a "Game Girl" You can see the excitement on her face. We made her open the case first and she was very disappointed that nothing was in it. But a few presents later she was very happy.

First Day of School

So much has happened in the last few months, I don't want to miss a thing. So I will start with one of the biggest changes in our lives, Kyra started Preschool in August. They were both excited to wear their new shirts and skirts embroidered with their names on it. Kyra was especially excited. She thought she was so big wearing her backpack that she picked out. Holly took Camree the first day and Cameron took Kyra. When Cameron dropped her off she sat down and said, "Bye Dad" She loved every minute and has since. Although Camree was a bit more apprehensive, she went with a smile.

The Beginning...

Ok, so my sister Addie has been begging me to start a blog for about 6 months or so. So I finally gave into her and started the blog. Well now it is about two months since I started the blog, and I am posting my first blog. The other day she said to me, when she asked if I had posted yet, "Well maybe the blog thing is not for you" Well here it is Addie, I am going to prove to you it is for me.

One of my New Year's Goal was to do a blog to make up for my lack of scrapbooking in the last year. Since starting my Children's Boutique business, I have been so crazy busy, the scrapbooking dept has really slimmed down or more so came to a quick halt. But I am not giving up either, I don't think Camree would let me. The other day she said, "Mommy, James is saying 'Where is my book, Where is my book.'" So it is something I really need to make a priority. But as for now this blog will make all the close friends and family happy.:)
